Birmingham Web Development Partnership (BWDP) is a team of people working to develop websites about Birmingham; raising the profile of Birmingham on the World Wide Web, and contributing to the development of Birmingham's economy.

Members of BWDP benefit from a reciprocated increased stakehold in the city. Membership is now free and open to all.

Background

With a well established network of Local Strategic Partnerships, the UK has always been a global leader of cross-sector innovation. The Second City is no exception to the national trend, with Be Birmingham (formerly Birmingham Strategic Partnership), the Safer Birmingham Partnership (formerly Birmingham Community Safety Partnership) and Birmingham City Centre Partnership to name just a few prominent local groups. In the face of modern urban barriers to success; partnership is often the name of the game. BWDP was originally founded in 2005 with one special project in mind: free websites for Birmingham's third sector. Rebranded in 2006, BWDP coined the concept of a Web Development Partnership to be an independent, regional, charitable association in the web design & development industry.
